Did you know that Wild Boar is a Cooling protein?  Cooling foods help to bring down inflammation throughout the body. Cooling meats can be advisable to feed with dogs showing signs of arthritis, allergies, skin conditions, cancer or any other inflammatory situations.

As a game meat, wild boar meat is leaner and tends to be darker red than ordinary pork. Wild boar meat has an intense, sweet and nutty flavor, due in part to its wild diet of grasses and nuts.

Wild boar is a good source of Thiamin, Niacin, Vitamin B6, Zinc and Selenium. It is also a very good source of protein and low in sodium. While containing moderate levels of Omega 3 fatty acids and considered to be a healthy alternative to fish oil, wild boar is leaner, higher in protein with less fat and calories than domestically raised pork.
